Overview

We are seeking an AI VFX Supervisor with a strong background in studio film, episodic, or

commercial VFX production to help lead the integration of generative AI workflows into

traditional shot production pipelines.

This role is intended for experienced VFX Supervisors with post production experience across

feature film, advertising, or episodic series. The ideal candidate combines strong creative and

technical judgment with a practical understanding of how AI workflows can support real-world

production at scale.

Working closely with AI Producers and production teams, you will oversee shot execution, guide

workflow strategy and best practices, manage creative leadership across projects, and help

shape scalable AI-assisted pipelines for future productions. The VFX/ AI Supervisor will also

assist production with bidding and scoping of potential new projects that arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise AI-driven VFX work across shots, sequences, and projects

  • Partner closely with AI Producers to support project planning, bidding, execution,

  • scheduling, and delivery strategy

  • Manage and guide Creative Leads and technical artists across multiple projects and

  • workstreams

  • Translate creative briefs into clear visual direction, execution plans, and technical

  • approaches

  • Define and maintain visual quality standards across AI-generated and traditionally

  • produced work

  • Review shots, provide detailed creative and technical notes, and drive work through

  • iteration to final delivery

  • Help assess project scope, support bidding and feasibility discussions, and identify

  • production risks early

  • Design and refine AI-assisted workflows and production pipelines for scalability and

  • efficiency

  • Identify technical roadblocks and collaborate with artists, developers, and production

  • teams to develop practical solutions

  • Evaluate where AI workflows are appropriate within traditional VFX pipelines and

  • delivery schedules

  • Work closely with compositing, CG, editorial, production, and AI teams to maintain

  • continuity across departments

  • Contribute to R&D efforts, workflow testing, and pipeline development for future projects

  • Help establish best practices for reviews, versioning, asset management, and delivery

  • standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience supervising VFX work in feature film, episodic, or commercial

  • production environments

  • Strong background in shot production, sequence supervision, and artist management

  • Experience working with creative briefs, client feedback, and production-driven iteration

  • cycles

  • Strong understanding of: Compositing and CG integration / Editorial and post-production workflows / Color, lighting, lensing, and cinematic continuity / Production planning and shot execution

  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and workflows (ComfyUI, image/video generation

  • pipelines, open-source models, etc.)

  • Ability to identify technical limitations and develop production-friendly solutions under

  • tight timelines

  • Experience collaborating across creative, technical, and production departments

  • Being the hub of VFX/AI communication between directors, producers, and artists

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Hands-on experience with: Nuke / Houdini / Maya / Blender / Cinema 4D / Python or pipeline scripting

  • Experience integrating AI workflows into commercial production environments

  • Familiarity with cloud workflows, automation, or render infrastructure

  • Previous experience helping scale teams, workflows, or emerging departments
