AI Generalist Artist (Film / Animation / VFX)

Overview

We are seeking a creative AI Generalist Artist with a strong foundation in traditional film,

animation, or VFX. This role blends traditional digital art tools with emerging AI tools to rapidly

prototype, visualize, and execute compelling visual content. The ideal candidate is a pro in

professional filmmaking, fluent in modern generative tools, and comfortable working with a

hybrid approach. The AI Generalist Artist would report to the Lead AI Artist and work alongside

a cohort of peers that includes AI Technical Artists, Visual Development Artist, 3D Artist,

Compositor, and Asset Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality visual content using traditional software and AI tools such as Kling,

  • Luma, Veo, and similar platforms.

  • Collaborate with Lead Artist and creative team (VFX, 3D modeler, compositor, asset

  • manager) to bring ideas to life based on the provided creative direction and assets.

  • Maintain organized project files and version control across multiple iterations.

  • Stay current with emerging AI tools, workflows, new techniques, and improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Background in film, animation, VFX, compositing, gaming, or commercial production.

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or similar.

  • Experience with AI visual generation tools (e.g., Kling, Luma, Veo, Runway, etc.).

  • Solid understanding of composition, color, lighting, and cinematic storytelling.

  • Familiarity with post-production workflows and pipelines.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with node-based tools, and the ability to install packages (Comfy.UI, Weavy,

  • etc)

  • Experience with 3D software (e.g., Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Nuke).

  • Proficiency in: After Effects / DaVinci Resolve / Premiere Pro

  • Knowledge of motion graphics, tracking, and compositing.
